Create a simple, professional website for a local sole trader offering personalised nursing services. The site should be easy to navigate and allow potential clients to quickly understand who Kat is, what she offers, and how much she charges. The overall tone must feel trustworthy, calm, and professional, while clearly presenting key information to both clients and their carers.
Outcomes
Initially, Kat requested a single-page website. Early in the process, she recognised my skills and the value of expanding the project, which quickly grew to five pages. The final result delivered a professional online presence with a strong brand look and feel. Potential clients and their support networks now have a clear, easy-to-navigate experience that communicates who Kat is, what she offers, and how much her services cost.
Problems Solved
Domain and Email Account Complexity
Kat had lost control of her domain and email during a messy transition between providers. Access was regained by navigating the limitations of Wix, successfully pointing her domain to Webflow and restoring her custom email account.
Wix Limitations
Kat’s first attempt at building a website on Wix left her feeling like it resembled a hair salon booking page. Through considered choices of colour, layout, and typography, a professional online presence was delivered that better reflected her calm, professional nursing services.
Concisely Conveying Pricing Information
Kat provided a rough table of hourly rates and services. I refined the layout into a clear, responsive HTML table that works well across devices, improving legibility and user experience without overwhelming visitors.
