Single Use Dental Instruments

Art Director and Web DesignerMaroochydoreMay 2023Present

As the sole in-house designer for Single Use Dental Instruments, I lead the brand's visual identity across packaging, print, digital, and web. I'm responsible for maintaining version control and streamlining creative processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy across all design outputs. My work includes designing all levels of packaging for a wide range of dental products, including product sleeves, packaging boxes, shipping cartons, and corresponding labels. I manage the brand across all touchpoints, including social media, email marketing (via HubSpot automations), and a suite of collateral such as flyers, pull-up banners, event materials, and product factsheets. Digitally, I design and maintain three branded websites, including two e-commerce sites, integrating tools for stock management (CIN7), payments (Stripe), and CRM (HubSpot). I manage hosting, low-code development, front-end design, and analytics reporting. I built a web-based tool to assist sales reps with information access while on the go, and I've developed and refined an industry-leading interactive and web-based system for dentists to customise and create bespoke surgery packs. My role also includes communicating with international partners to ensure brand alignment and packaging accuracy across regions. Additional work spans interactive PDF order forms, internal document templates, product photography, team head shots, and sales materials including catalogues, price lists, custom proposals, and presentations.

Small and Mighty

Lead DesignerWork From HomeDec 2019May 2023

My time working with the Small and Mighty Group not only fostered my skills as a graphic and digital designer, but it also allowed me to enhance my experience as both a team player and mentor. Together with a strategy and content team, we designed and developed brands from any point in their marketing journey. In the digital space, I designed EDM newsletters and announcement emails. These often included an aspect of animation in the form of GIFs. For more physically oriented work, I was in charge of spearheading print jobs including flyers, brochures, highly polished Capability Brochures, pull-up banners, conference booth panels, business cards, reports, plans and large-scale banner signage – this also included hands-on communication with printers. Social media was also a large part of my responsibilities, more specifically the design of content for platforms such as LinkedIn. I enjoyed pushing the team to think outside the box and capture the attention of viewers. I'm passionate about web design and development, and am confident with Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Elementor, Figma, and Shopify.

Queensland Law Society

While at the Law Society I honed my skills as a graphic designer. I learned as much as I could from my design manager and mentor. Harnessing the full Adobe Creative Suite, I worked on everything from flyers, business cards, posters, web graphics, social media images and video, company singlets, conference promotional material and corporate head shots. I thoroughly enjoyed working as a team, managing workflow through prioritisation and assessing and implementing process improvement. As a team we were completely focused on providing excellent service to internal and external clients. Something I strive for not only in the work environment but also in my personal life. I returned as a freelance video editor for a temporary contract to assist in editing a series of video content for an internal online training platform.

Good design is user-focused. Strong outcomes start with a clear understanding of people and context.

Design is a problem-solving discipline. It should balance creativity with intent, usability and performance.

Honesty and transparency build trust. Clear communication always improves both process and outcomes.

Efficiency matters. Smart systems, reusable styles and repeatable workflows create better work at scale.

Meaningful design creates connection. When people enjoy using a product, the design has done its job.
